About the hotel

A renowned local landmark in the very centre of Dorchester.Excellent rooms with en suite bathrooms. Recently refurbished to a very high standard.

The Hotel, built in 1720, retains many interesting and classical Georgian features. As the name suggests many monarchs have stayed at the hotel including Queen Victoria and George iv. More recently the Beatles and Rolling Stones were guests!
